Verses I read today:
耶利米书6:16 耶和华如此说："你们当站在路上察看，访问古道，哪是善道，便行在其间；这样，你们心里必得安息。他们却说：'我们不行在其间。' 6:17 我设立守望的人照管你们说：'要听角声。'他们却说：'我们不听。'6:18 列国啊，因此你们当听；会众啊，要知道他们必遭遇的事！6:19 地啊，当听：我必使灾祸临到这百姓，就是他们意念所结的果子，因为他们不听从我的言语。至于我的训诲 （注：或作"律法"），他们也厌弃了。6:20 从示巴出的乳香，从远方出的菖蒲 （注：或作"甘蔗"）奉来给我有何益呢？你们的燔祭不蒙悦纳，你们的平安祭我也不喜悦。"
Jeremiah6:16-20 This is what the Lord says: "Stop at the crossroads and look around. Ask for the old, godly way, and walk in it. Travel its path, and you will find rest for your souls. But you reply, 'No, that's not the road we want!' I post watchman over you who said, 'Listen for the sound of the alarm.' But you replied, 'No! We won't pay attention!' Therefore, listen to this, all you nations. Take note of my people's situation. Listen, all the earth! I will bring disaster on my people. It is the fruit of their own schemes, because they refuse to listen to me. They have rejected my word. There's no use offering me sweet frankincense from Sheba. Keep your fragrant calamus imported from distant lands! I will not accept your burnt offerings. Your sacrifices have no pleasing aroma from me"
约翰一书4:5 他们是属世界的，所以论世界的事，世人也听从他们。4:6 我们是属 神的，认识 神的就听从我们；不属 神的，就不听从我们。从此我们可以认出真理的灵和谬妄的灵来。
1John4:5-6 Those people belong to this world, so they speak from the world's viewpoint, and the world listens to them. But we belong to God, and those who know God listen to us. If they do not belong to God, they do not listen to us. That is how we know if someone has the Spirit of truth or the spirit of deception.
4:7 亲爱的弟兄啊，我们应当彼此相爱，因为爱是从 神来的。凡有爱心的，都是由 神而生，并且认识 神。4:8 没有爱心的，就不认识 神，因为 神就是爱。
1John4:7-8 Dear friends, let us continue to love one another, for love comes from God. Anyone who loves is a child of God and knows God. But anyone who does not love does not know God, for God is love.
4:17 这样，爱在我们里面得以完全，我们就可以在审判的日子坦然无惧。因为他如何，我们在这世上也如何。4:18 爱里没有惧怕；爱既完全，就把惧怕除去，因为惧怕里含著刑罚，惧怕的人在爱里未得完全。4:19 我们爱，因为 神先爱我们。
1John4:17-19 And as we live in God, our love grows more perfect. So we will not be afraid on the day of judgement, but we we can face him with confidence because we live like Jesus here in this world. Such love has no fear, because perfect love expels all fear. If we are afraid, it is for fear of punishment, and this grows that we have not fully experienced his perfect love. We love each other because he loved us first.
My thoughts
Today I was so busy that I didn't have time to think and write down how I felt. Got up at 5:40, I read two chapters of Bible and then did 20mins exercise. After that, the day fully displayed herself. Soon, it was the time for lunch. After 3.5 hours long meeting, I was heading off to take my discipleship class. Later at 9:30, the class was dismissed and I knew that I had to back by 10:00pm to have our regular meeting with Nate. At 11:20, the meeting was over and I went to bed. The day faded away in my dreamless sleep.
