Verse I read today:

 

耶利米书10:12 耶和华用能力创造大地，用智慧建立世界，用聪明铺张穹苍.

Jeremiah 10:12 But God made the earth by his power, and he preserves it by his wisdom. With his own understanding he stretched out the heavens.

耶利米书10:23-24 耶和华啊，我晓得人的道路不由自己；行路的人也不能定自己的脚步。耶和华啊，求你从宽惩治我，不要在你的怒中惩治我，恐怕使我归于无有。

Jeremiah10:23-24 I know, LORD, that our lives are not our own. We are not able to plan our own course. So correct me, LORD, but please be gentle. Do not correct me in anger, for I would die.

彼得后书2:19 他们应许人得以自由，自己却作败坏的奴仆，因为人被谁制伏，就是谁的奴仆。

2Peter2:19 They promise freedom, but they themselves are slaves of sin and corruption. For you are a slave to whatever controls you.

彼得后书2:20-21 倘若他们因认识主救主耶稣基督，得以脱离世上的污秽，后来又在其中被缠住制伏，他们末后的景况就比先前更不好了。他们晓得义路，竟背弃了传给他们的圣命，倒不如不晓得为妙。

2Peter2:20-21 And when people escape from the wickedness of the world by knowing our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and then get tangled up and enslaved by sin again, they are worse off than before. It would be better if they had never known the way to righteousness than to know it and then reject the command they were given to live a holy life.
